You'd think for SURE we'd have to eat inside, and at most places, we probably would have needed to! Not here. The temperature had dropped significantly from the heat we were so used to just a month ago. I've never eaten something here and not enjoyed it.īrought my family back here recently to enjoy early dinner and was immediately seated. It can be a little pricy, but I feel like the portions justify it, and the quality of the food items is very good. I've been here a few times and really love the place. Overall the experience here was not a pleasant one.don’t think I’ll be coming back or be recommending it to my friends. She said It’s just 50 cents and I can get our manager if you want to take that off. she said that it was written In the menu but it should have been explicitly mentioned before we asked for more ranch. And once it was time to pay the bill she tried to charge for some ranch which we didn’t even know had an extra charge…she should have told us in the beginning…instead of expecting first time customers to see everything written down on the menu since they took away the menus after order was placed. I had to ask other waitresses several times for help…which is ridiculous. She didn’t bother to refill my water drink or come check on my table or ask if I’m okay and need anything. The waitress (think her name was Sarah) was not very friendly and was very rude. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap…and found a hair which looked like a dog hair on my pickle… the sandwich was not that great…as soon as I was seated the hostess didn’t clean the dirty chairs but cleaned the table. They weren't oily or mushy like at other places. They were cut large enough, and were fried enough so that they were hot and crispy, and had a bright orange color. She also ordered sweet potato fries which I tried, which were great. My wife had the veggie burger which she liked. (Too often, restaurants put too much breading on their chicken and/or fry it so that it is too hard).Īlso, the greens were amazing, and had the right texture aka they weren't mushy. The chicken was salted just enough to be flavorful but not overpowering the crust was thinner and fried perfectly. This is probably the most genuine southern fried chicken that I have ever eaten in a restaurant. I ordered the fried chicken (which is fried in fatback). It was so good that we ordered one to go before we left. However, they sell a food item that we never tried: sweet potato corn bread offered with an amazing restaurant created/flavored butter. We stopped in Winston Salem for one night, and when I asked the hotel desk employee for recommendations, he fortunately mentioned this place.
